Waxwings, Buckfastleigh

Field Paintings

With so many about it was only a matter of time before some waxwings appeared in town.

Two birds appeared on 3rd feeding on rowan berries outside the Co-op. They spent most of the time sat in alder trees by the River Mardle. They were a little more wary than the birds in 2005 and only remained until the 6th leaving quite a few berries on the trees.

There are other berry-laden rowans in town so I expect some more will turn up at some point over the winter.
