Field Paintings

A flock of about 20 redwings feeding in a berry bush in the garden. They first appeared about a week ago and numbers have built during the cold weather. They are still quite shy, flying off into nearby trees if disturbed, though they can be viewed at close range from the window. The bush was stripped of berries within a week – there are still hundreds of redwings in the area feeding in fields and woodlands.
